Our Sisters Walk in Colorful Clothes is an album with seven compositions by Karin Bengmark.
The lyrics are by Edith Södergran, Emily Dickinson, Edna St Vincent Millay, Karin Boye, and Christina Rossetti. The themes are autumn, loss, longing and ageing but hopefully also a bit about the beauty of life.
Karin Bengmark sings the songs together with Simon Westman on piano and Sjöströmska String Quartet: Jenny Jonsson, Annie Svedlund, Lisa Reuter & Manon Briau
This is a tribute to the mothers in Karin’s family featured on the cd cover: Margit, Maria and Ester.
